RW stands for Re-Writable. Therefore the DVD +RW (plus RW) allows you to record a program, delete it then re-record another program over and over again. Philips is the company which has pushed the DVD +RW format but it is supported by 70% of DVD playback players. The disc can be considered as an advanced DVD because it allows you to watch a program whilst recording another one at the same time. You can also edit your programs on a DVD +RW disc.
You can record up to 6 hours onto a single +RW disc and programs can effortlessly be deleted to free up space for the newest program. To maximise the length of recording you should lower the quality of the recording.
